Q. How do I configure WinNT to connect to Ziplink?
A. Go to the WinNT Configuration page to get direction to configure your
dialer.
Q: How come I connect and then get immediately
logged off?
A. This is most commonly caused by having the "Request LCP extentions"
option turned on. This seems to be a problem with mostly NT 4.0, but it
can happen in NT 3.51. In Windows NT 3.51 you can turn this off by going
to your RAS phonebook, highlighting your Ziplink entry and clicking on
edit. Click on "Advanced" and then on "Network". You
will see the LCP check box there. To disable it with NT 4.0, open up Dial-up
Networking and then select Ziplink and click on "More" and "Edit
entry and modem properties" The LCP check box is under the "Server"
tab. You should also make sure that the "Accept any authentication"
button is selected under the "Security" tab.
Q. Are there different versions of software for WinNT?
A. In some cases three are pieces of software that are made for NT, but
most Win95 software should work on NT.
Q. Does Ziplink offer software for NT users?
A. Presently Ziplink doesn't have software for NT, but everything that
is needed to connect to the Internet is provided with your operating system.
Q. How do I configure my other pieces of Internet
software.?
A. We won't know exactly what you are using, but you can find the configuration
for the other pieces of software by going to Ziplink's FAQ
page.
