The Short Resume
- Education: B.F.A., 1965, Alfred University School of Ceramic Design, Alfred, New York.
Major: Pottery and sculpture.
- Experience: Emphasis on pottery and sculpture gradually gave way to drawing, first in charcoal, then charcoal and pastels, usually from models, then oils and acrylics. Today, Mrs. Schneider uses all three mediums with equal ease and skill.
- Shows:
- Geelong, Australia. Sold two works.
- Park Lane Gallery. As featured artist in April, 1997, works in her Fascination with Figures recieved first and second places in the People's Choice Awards. She also sold a painting.
- Moss Bay Gallery, Kirkland, Washington.
- Rainflower Florist and Gallery, Duvall, Washington.
- Overlake School, Redmond, Washington. Received first commission.
- Columbia Art Center, Columbia, Maryland.
- Studied with:
- Ned Mueller: Portrait classes
- Nana Bagdavadze: Portrait and figure classes
- Alfred Harris
- Today:
- Mrs. Schneider has just finished work on a group of equestrian canvasses and is starting a group of canvasses based on Jewish fairy tales.
- Mrs. Schneider lives in Redmond, Washington with her husband, who is also an artist having worked most recently in stained glass.
