Senior Network Engineer, Operations

• Maintain core network of Cisco 7200/7500 class routers.
• Engineer and maintain internal OSPF routing tables and OSPF AREA distribution heirarchy.
• Engineer and maintain internal/external BGP routing relationships with transit providers and peer networks.
• Maintain Internet caching heirarchy and servers hosting distributed Web content.
• Engineer connections to dedicated access customers via T1, Frame Relay, DSL.
• Troubleshoot & repair Telco & Data Circuits
• Troubleshoot & repair Dial Up Servers, Routers and Critical Host Servers.
• Manage external trouble resolution.

Required Skills:

• Previous direct involvement with a large Enterprise or Wide Area Network.
• Strong IP networking skills.
• Technical Skills should include:
  • IP routing procol expertise: RIP2, OSPF, (BGP4 a plus)
  • WAN technologies: T1, T3, (OC-3 and ATM a plus)
  • LAN technologies: 10/100Mbps Ethernet, (VLAN/Switching a plus)
• Cisco IP networking experience should include:
  • Access Control Lists
  • Route Maps
  • Debugging commands
• Terminal Server Experience should include:
  • Configuring
  • Troubleshooting
• Unix experience should include:
  • perl and/or Bourne Shell scripting
  • SNMP/MRTG experience a plus
• Other:
  • Cisco Netflow switching and accounting experience a plus
  • Bay BLN/BCN router experience a plus
  • Frame Relay experience a plus
  • L2TP experience a plus
  • IP tunnelling experience a plus

Professional Experience: 2+ years

Educational Experience: Four Year College degree or equivalent
