One can almost smell it...

Guidebooks, more often than not, suck, unless the author is among those rare individuals who can write them well.

Problem is, most are tied to the same skillsaw as I on this subject, in that we're not so favored, and left only to post the maps.

For some reason, the Web has become our guidebook publishing mill, where behind each cover are nothing but links, the whole links, and nothing but the links (so help me gourge). These jump-o-rama sites have become launch pads for us to go to places that point to places (which take you to places that lead to places).

So the focus of this tirade is on steenkin'g link lists, and in the best spirit of hyperlinks for their own sake, I will, very soon, list here the, uh, best, of the worst in hypertextual link technology, or at least the ones that catch on my Bookmark list.

And when I list the list of lists, you'll click here to get to it.
