As you may already know from my
autobiographical page,
I am a music lover.
In my post-collegiate years I became very involved in
Techiya,
whose web page I wrote and maintained for a while,
and the
Jewish A Cappella scene
in general.
I sang with and arranged music for Techiya,
and served as the group's director and business manager.
I also attended the first few events organized by Neima,
which seems to no longer exist,
but was supposed to be an umbrella group
for collegiate Jewish A Cappella groups.
Since getting married and having a child,
I really haven't been doing much musically.
My piano and horn skills are mostly forgotten.
I hope I can find them again some day.
I also enjoy sports.
For a few years I played ultimate frisbee with the "Ozone Jesters"
in BUDA's Corporate/Open League
(BUDACOL).
It used to be an Interleaf team,
but by my last season with them
I was the only one who still worked at Interleaf!
More recently I played basketball with a team from ITA Software
in a league at the Cambridge YMCA in which we were considerably
overmatched, but we had fun anyway.
I also play soccer regularly, in a Brookline indoor league in winter
and pickup games, also in Brookline, outdoors in the summer.
I also enjoy photography as a hobby.
These days, of course, David is the usual subject.
My former housemate Josh
is a much more avid photographer than I.
He even has an underwater camera!
One of these days I'll get into digital photography,
or maybe just scan some photos, and I'll post some pictures.
I like to travel sometimes, but not alone.
Since our wedding, Judith and I have been to Israel four times:
for our honeymoon and a second wedding reception,
for a four month stay in Rehovot,
and for two short visits with David.
We also travelled to Calgary where Judith has
many relatives, and it was in Calgary that we got engaged!
I even managed to stay with relatives
when visiting Paris for business.
It's always nice to have a home away from home.
In my travels so far,
I've covered eighteen states, ten foreign countries,
and two places which have since changed nationality,
but who's counting?
