Updates on Su's Status

On November 22, 1998, Su Lennox-Beals was in a serious car accident along with her husband, Lawrence Beals and friend and fellow Girlie Gaye Oliver. They were struck by a speeding drunk driver and the car rolled over several times. Lawrence and Gaye were injured but released from the hospital that morning. Su, however, was in a coma and in critical condition with brain injury.

Since then, Su has recovered significantly, as far as physical injury. She had some displaced bones in her spinal cord, but that injury should not be permanent. She has some brain injury and is undergoing rehabilitation for that.
