December 30-31 update
Sorry for the lack of status yesterday, it took me 3 hours to drive up there and over 6 hours to drive back, by the time I got home I was exhausted and had to get up early this morning for appointments over in Virginia Beach.
Su has made the transition to Stuart Circle fairly well. She is more responsive every day and gaining greater control of her arms and legs. Yesterday she pretty much slept the whole day away while I was there but the OT and PT said she worked real hard during the sessions and was doing great.
When I went into today I was shocked, they had her dressed in a "Saw Doctors" T-shirt and a pair of my gym shorts. I guess you never realize how perfectly designed hospital gowns are to make people look sicker than they are. She looked a 100% better and she liked it much better.
She is finally starting to move her mouth, attempt to make sounds, to reason and anticipate what is going to happen next. The physical, occupational and speech therapists really push her hard to get better and as they raise the bar Su works harder and harder to pass it.
Had wanted to spend New Year's Eve with her but didn't want to push the issue to hard since our 1st wedding anniversary and Suze's birthday are just around the corner and I definitely am going to spend the night there on those two days.
Not much else to report.
