As Cyrano:
| Didier Rousselet (Artistic
and Managing Director): Actor, Stage Director, Doctor in Theatrical Studies,
worked with Ariane Mnouchkine (Théatre du Soleil), Jacques Lassalle,
and Jacques Lecoq. He also participated in theatrical experiments
conducted in France by Billedstoftheater (Denmark) and Pupi e Fressedde
(Italy).
In the United States, he wrote the text for, and performed in, For J.B., a show by choreographer Blondell Cummings with an original score by Lester Bowie. Along with Monica Neagoy, he directed No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre for Theatrical Outfit in Atlanta. |
In 1987 he founded and created LE NEON French-American Theatre Company. He has since directed or co-directed all of LE NEON's 35 productions, and has performed in most of them.
In 1998, Didier Rousselet, Monica Neagoy and Susan Haedicke received a Helen Hayes nomination for their adaptation of The Man Who Laughs (Outstanding New Play of 1996.)
A year later, Mr. Rousselet and Monica Neagoy v received the Theatre
Lobby's 1999 Mary Goldwater Award for Excellence in Artistic Direction,
and were recently selected by the Canadian Embassy and the Helen Hayes
Awards to participate in the Canadian/Washington
Theatre Partnership 2000 in October 2000.

Barbara has portrayed The Bear (and other animals)
in Renard the Fox (Mainstage and School Tour), La Doyenne in Princesses, and Rimm in Rimm La Gazelle for LE NEON. Barb participated in an International Festival in Corsica -- Les Rencontres Theatrales du Haute Corse -- as Cassandra and Hecuba in The Trojan Women/Les Troyennes.

| Chris Davenport was last seen with
LE NEON as King Noble in Le Roman de Renard. He has
appeared at The American Century Theatre, BAPA's Imagination Stage, Argus
Productions, Bridgework Theatre, and very briefly at The Shakespeare Theatre.
Chris teaches classes at the Bethesda Academy of Performing Arts, and is currently directing two children's productions of Bye Bye Birdie (that's right - two!).
