Le Roman de Renart enjoyed such popularity that the proper name Renart eventually replaced the common noun goupil to designate the word fox.

But in contemporary French, the word for fox ends in a d -- r e n a r d !

"Renard the Fox" -- how it will be performed.

Twelve actors playing the roles of animals will be attired in fabulous costumes and will be wearing animal masks. Renard the Fox will take you into a world of pure wonder and fantasy while simultaneously amusing and bemusing you.

"Renard the Fox": Our 1999 performance is Mainly in English
with a little bit of French and a lot of Néonesque physicality.
