OBJECTIVES:

Distinguish between weight and mass and use the second law to relate them.
Demonstrate an understanding of the nature of frictional forces and be able to use the coefficient of friction in solving problems.
Demonstrate an understanding of the meaning of net force and be able to calculate the acceleration that results.
Understand the definition of free-fall and the causes of air resistance and terminal velocity.
