The Three Sisters is the background for this page: the corn, the beans, and the squash. Native Americans knew that by planting these three crops together, all three would benefit and thrive better than if planted alone. Here at the Somers Mountain Museum we feel we are in a similar relationship with our public and our supporters. The public brings us a reason to be here and we in turn provide them with educational displays, programs, and workshops. Supporters (our Friends of the Somers Mountain Museum) give us the boost we need and in return receive the benefits we provide them as well as, hopefully, the feeling that they are contributing to something worthwhile.
The Friends are individuals, families, and businesses who share the vision of supporting and promoting a great little museum which has been a regional asset and educational resource for generations.
