- Relationships are complex in nature and undergo ups and
downs. Our responses and behavior are more focused when
becoming familiar with someone new. The dynamics of a
relationship are textured by a combination of the
responses of each person. A couple can function in a
feedback fashion, with each person being impacted by the
other's behavior.
- Our responses to others employ resources such as physical
energy, emotional intensity, intellectual concentration,
and intuition. These physiological responses are not
static -- they undergo changes. For instance, there are
times when we have boundless energy, are thinking clearly
and intuitively, and know what feels right. There are
also times when just the opposite seems to be the case.
- These changes are the result of rhythmic biophysical
processes and that means they are calculable.
